TREASURE GOES TO SCHOOL

When they say don’t anticipate too much they are telling you the truth. I swear I was really looking forward to this day. I even stopped blogging and saved my next blog date for today. Like I really wanted this to be perfect, but see what happened!!

First of all, my alarm did not even ring! Cause my phone which was charging whole night decided not to switch on when I tried to. It actually stared at me like ” I’m not going to switch on! What are you going to do about that! Smash me on the floor?” Imagine the look I had on my face… like what is happening here???

But I had a duty! Taking my daughter to school! It’s a must! So I went on and prepared myself hoping my phone will stop acting up and get back to normal so that I can fill all my social media pages with MY DAUGHTER’S FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL!!! But no! It kept on staring at me! So I told myself, TO HELL WITH THIS.

Fast forward! My daughter was ready and over excited. She really wanted to go to school. So we had to go at the gate and wait for my friend to come pick us. Do you know the type of excitement kids get? The one that they only know it’s happening when they are out of the house, yes that is what I had to deal with as early as 8 o’clock.

Finally my friend came and we left.

Too many kids. Too many parents. Ques to follow. But guess what, during all this time, my baby was out there at the playing area making friends and all that. You should have seen how free she was. Made me know this one is not going to cause me problems. Cause she is already creating a condusive environment for herself.

Finally we were done with the registration and baby went to her classroom. The other pupils welcomed her and she joined the que, they were going for breakfast I guess.

The look on her face ( I really want to do this but how is it done?) She looked abit excited but also abit confused. But from the look of things she is going to do great.

I’m actually a very proud mum. My baby just started school and this is a whole different journey now. Let’s see what’s good and what God has in store for us.

It was a nice but confusing feeling for me. I think it’s because this is the first time ever in my entire life I’m leaving my baby in the hands of people who are not family or close friends and I’m gambling on trust only. But I trust all is going to be well. I have someone up there looking after her 😉 . I really can’t wait for her to be back. Looking forward to her first day experience.
